PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cutting machine furnished with a safety device not to project a cutter from a lower surface of a paper cutting machine main body when it is not used. SOLUTION: This paper cutting machine 1 is furnished with the paper cutting machine main body 2 on which a guide rail 3 is mounted along one side edge, a slider 4 mounted on the guide rail 3 free to move and to stop at both end parts of the guide rail 3 and the cutter installed on this slider 4, to project from the lower surface of the paper cutting machine main body 2 when it cuts paper and to move along the one side edge, and a stop holding member 5 to hold a stopping state of the slider 4 is provided at a stopping position of the slider 4 of the paper cutting machine main body 2. It is devised to cut a sheet, etc. by projecting the cutter from the lower surface of the paper cutting machine main body 2 when it is used and not to project the cutter from the lower surface of the paper cutting machine main body 2 by holding the slider 4 at the stopping position so that the slider 4 does not carelessly move when it is not used.
