PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thin product made of a light alloy with superior productivity. SOLUTION: The method is characterized in that it includes a step of placing the solid-state light alloy on a metallic foil with a melting point higher than that of the light alloy and heating to set the light alloy to a semi-molten state, and a step of press-forming this light alloy in the semi-molten state by a press means while the light alloy is placed on the metallic foil.
