The outer portion (20) of the screw cap (10) has a cylindrical outer surface and a flat top surface with a central aperture (24). A broad projection (26) on the top surface of the sealing disk fits into the aperture and its top surface is flush with the top surface of the screw cap when the cap is fully screwed down. An elongated authenticity seal (28) is pasted over the top of the screw cap and sealing disk and has a pattern of lines (38) along which cracking can occur when the cap is turned and the seal is broken.
