PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erasure information management method and an erasure information management system, managing information about erased data to prevent information leakage, and allowing an individual to confirm that the data erasure is certainly performed. SOLUTION: This erasure information management method has: an acquisition procedure for acquiring erasure information, and identification information for identifying the individual using a portable terminal; a management procedure for managing the erasure information and the identification information acquired in the acquisition procedure; an authentication procedure for authenticating whether the individuals coincide with each other or not, on the basis of the identification information managed in the management procedure, and the identification information from the individual; and a provision procedure for providing the erasure information managed in the management procedure to the individual as a certificate certificating the erasure of the data, on the basis of the authentication procedure.
