PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method enabling objectively assessing a carbon black dispersed condition in a rubber composition obtained using a kneader, and to produce such a rubber composition good and uniform in carbon black dispersed condition. SOLUTION: The method for determining the degree of dispersion of carbon black in a rubber composition comprises the following procedure: A test section is obtained from the rubber composition and photographed by a relevant means, and the number of carbon black aggregates is counted from the resultant image. In this procedure, the test section is obtained after cooling the rubber composition in advance so as to meet the relationship(I): 10<H<SB>A2</SB>- H<SB>A1</SB><35( wherein, H<SB>A2</SB>is the hardness of the rubber composition after cooled, and H<SB>A1</SB>is the hardness of the rubber composition before cooled(25°C) ).
