PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a therapeutic/prophylactic agent for allergic diseases, free from side effects, highly safe even if administering continuously for a long period and usable in daily use such as cosmetic use. SOLUTION: The cosmetic comprising an external antiallergic agent suppressing IgE (immunoglobulin E) class switch contains at least one polyphenol selected from strictinins and methylated derivatives thereof as an active ingredient.
