PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable performing stably recording and reproducing for a magnetic disk in a magnetic recording apparatus. SOLUTION: A flow straightening plate 50 of a flat plate type in which a region corresponding to a part from a tip of an apparatus body spring 20 to an elastic bending part 31 is opened is provided at a base part 30 of an upper suspension 17 and a lower suspension 18 supporting a head 26 of the magnetic recording apparatus, when magnetic recording and reproducing are performed for a disk 2 by the magnetic recording apparatus, variation of height of the head 26 from a disk surface of the disk 2 is suppressed utilizing an air stream flowing on the disk 2 by the flow straightening plate 50, and stable recording and reproducing can be performed for the disk 2.
