PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facsimile-transmit the image data of a read original and the image data of the data of a shared file inside a terminal connected to a LAN combinedly. SOLUTION: A digital composite device 20 is provided with an image read part 2 for reading the image of an original and converting it to the image data. Among the data of the shared file stored in at least one of a client personal computer 30 connected to the LAN 70 and the digital composite device 20, only the image data facsimile-transmittable based on the extension of the data are displayed at a display part 4, and the data of at least one shared file to be facsimile-transmitted among them are selected and inputted by a user (step S4 in the figure). Then, after reading the selected data, the converted image data and the image data of the selected data are combined into one piece of combined image data and facsimile-transmitted (steps S7-S8).
