PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner of uniform shape being narrow in grain size distribution by an environmentally friendly method. SOLUTION: The toner is manufactured by using a dispersion 6 which is prepared by finely dispersing dispersoid mainly consisting of resin materials into a dispersion medium and is subjected to degassing treatment. The dispersion 6 charged into a dispersion feeding section 4 is fed into a head section 2. The head section 2 has a dispersion storage section 4 for storing the dispersion 6 and a discharge section for discharging the dispersion 6. The dispersion 6 in the dispersion storage section 4 is discharged from the discharge section to a solidifying section 3 by the piezoelectric pulse of a piezoelectric element. The discharged dispersion 6 has a granular form. While the dispersion 6 is conveyed in the solidifying section 3, the dispersion is removed of a dispersion medium and is thereby solidified to a toner particle 9. A voltage applying means 8 is connected to a cylindrical housing 31 constituting the solidifying section 3 and the voltage of the same polarity as that of the granular dispersion 6 is applied to the housing 31.
