PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser microscope capable of switching between fluorescent observation in an optimum observation state and differential interference observation by the Senarmont system. SOLUTION: A motor-driven slider 21 including a lighting-side differential interference prism 20 is provided between an imaging lens 19 and an objective 23 of an erect type microscope 18. A controller 34 drives the motor-driven slider 21 to put the lighting-side differential interference prism 20 in the optical path for transmission differential interference observation by the Senarmont system and also drives the motor-driven slider 21 to move the lighting-side differential interference prism 20 out of the optical path for fluorescent observation.
