<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of jam treatment by unifying parts on which the probability of occurrence of a paper jam is high so as to draw out the unit, in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A main body 2 of a printer 1 is provided with a jam treatment unit 70. The jam treatment unit 70 can be horizontally drawn out from the front side of the body. The jam treatment unit 70 is provided with a paper feeding device 30, a carrying roller 4, a resist roller 5, and a transfer part 50. A double sided printing unit 60 is arranged under the jam treatment unit 70 on the back side of the main body 2. The unit 60 can horizontally be detached from the rear side of the body 2. The unit 60 is provided with a paper discharging part 64, and when the unit 60 is attached to the body 2, the paper discharging part 64 is connected to a junction part 11 formed between the paper feeding device 30 of the unit 70 and the carrying roller 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
