<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data stream transport protocol having the efficiency of a raster scanning transfer protocol and the flexibility of an isochronous packet transfer protocol. <P>SOLUTION: A method for coupling a multimedia source device to a multimedia sink device by receiving a source data stream stream in accordance with a native stream rate by a source device to which a transmitter unit is connected, a single device to which a receiver unit is connected and the transmitter unit, coupling the transmitter unit and the receiver unit through a link unit, forming a multimedia data packet stream consisting of many multimedia data packets, and transferring the multimedia data packet stream in accordance with a link rate between the transmitter unit and the receiver unit is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
