PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a learning support system and method for giving answers with explanations based on results of a grade determination examination and match levels of students. SOLUTION: A problem automatic answering system 20 after registering a student who has a student-side terminal 10 transmits a grade determination diagnostic examination to the student-side terminal 10 through the Internet 100 and determines the result of the student from answers of the grade determination diagnostic examination, and further transmits answers and explanations for problems based on the results of the grade determination diagnostic examination to the student-side terminal 10 when the student makes questions about reference book problems. Further, the problem automatic answering system 20 transmits answers and explanations for problems of the same contents even to student-terminals of students who have the same result of the same subject with the student to which the answers and explanations for the problems has been sent.
