PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an elevator capable of continuing the operation of the elevator case by case by taking the contents of trouble and the results of monitoring in a monitoring center into consideration. SOLUTION: This controller 100 of the elevator comprises a means 103 for detecting the trouble of each device of the elevator, a means 102 for stopping the operation when detecting a trouble, and a function for connecting signals on the trouble to an elevator monitoring device 200 having a function to notify the monitoring center 400 of the signals on the trouble through a telephone line. The controller comprises a means not stopping the operation of the elevator only when trouble signals are transmitted to the monitoring center 400 when a specific trouble is detected. The controller also comprises a function to stop the operation after a prescribed time is passed when a prescribed inspection is not performed after the trouble signals are transmitted to the monitoring center 400.
