PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily carry out initial adjustment when attaching operation cable and stretch adjustment after use, in a wire type steering device. SOLUTION: The wire type steering device 10 transmits steering torque generated in a steering wheel from a driving pulley 30 coupled to the steering wheel to a driven pulley of a steering mechanism through two operation cables 15, 15 respectively pulling in opposite directions. At least either one of the two operation cables is provided with a first adjusting mechanism hading a large adjusting margin for adjusting an attaching position of an outer tube 41 by hands, and a second adjusting mechanism 60 having a smaller adjusting margin than the first adjusting mechanism for finely adjusting the attaching position of the outer tube 41 by hands after that.
