<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which enables an operator to transcribe/store displayed information in an arbitrary medium and takes the productivity/reliability of the device into consideration even during acquiring information. <P>SOLUTION: In this imaging device A with an information display function, the function is provided which stores/displays information; displays the information in a control means according to the use status of the device; and describes optional information irrespective of the content of a job during using the device or a job status. In addition, the device A has a function to display arbitrary information having no relationship with device information even during not using the device.
