PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate for microscopic specimen which is difficult to break with a reduced weight and hardly involves air so that leak of an excessive liquid sample can be prevented. SOLUTION: This plate comprises a liquid smear part 4 surrounded by an inside dam part 3a and an outside dam part 3b, which is provided on a surface of a synthetic resin-made plate 2. A liquid sample such as a urinary sediment or the like is smeared to the smear part 4. The excessive liquid sample is dammed by the inside dam part 3a, and the liquid sample which cannot be dammed by the inside dam part 3a is dammed by the outside dam part 3b to prevent the leak to the circumference and contamination thereof.
