PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a changing method of a bar-shaped member of a wooden structure capable of facilitating the replacement work of the bar-shaped member of a column and a foundation and, at the same time, enabling the wooden structure to have sufficient proof stress. SOLUTION: A mounting hole is formed in the end section of a new column 1 for replacement, and a joint hardware 2 is so installed that it can come in and out of the inside of the hole. A connecting hole 3 receiving the joint hardware 2 is formed in the existing member 10 side, and when the new column 1 is installed in a predetermined position, the joint hardware 2 is moved to make it lie across the mounting hole 33 and the connecting hole 3, and a drift pin 22 is driven into a pin hole 21 to fix the column 1. Mounting work of the column 1 can be carried out without making it interfere with the existing ceiling or the like and, at the same time, necessary strength can be obtained without making a check for wood assembly.
