Finishing textile materials (A) using cyclodextrins and/or their derivatives, halotriazinyl-substituted cyclodextrins (I) are applied to (A) together with other functional finishing agents (II), followed by reaction to cause covalent bonding of (I) and (II) with each other and with (A). An independent claim is included for the textile materials (A) finished with (I) and (II) by the above method.
