<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing epithelial cells, enabling their life to be extended. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises including a step of culturing epithelial cells in a gas atmosphere lower than 1.0% in oxygen concentration.
