<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that reduces the burden of a separation work and provides increased separation accuracy by easily specifying information about the separation of refuse to be disposed of according to separation information provided by a municipality that is to dispose of the refuse, and designating even a container for collecting it. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal sends municipality-specifying information to a server to obtain the municipality refuse separation information of a corresponding municipality from a list of municipality information, a list of municipality-based refuse separation information, and a list of stores supporting collection, all of which exist at the server. The server then collates the municipality refuse separation information with the product separation information of a product to be disposed of, thus easily specifying a method of separating refuse. Further, the container for collecting the corresponding refuse is specified from a list of collection container refuse separation information held in the terminal.
