GENERATOR OF LAMP TYPE RESET WAVEFORM OF DISPLAY PANEL AND ITS DESIGN METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator of lamp type reset waveform of a display panel to efficiently generate lamp type reset waveform of a plasma display panel and its design method. SOLUTION: In a display panel driving device, it includes a current source which generates current equivalent to a predetermined current instruction by connecting a first terminal to a first electrode sustain circuit of the display panel, a first switching means for switching current conduction between a second terminal of the current source and the first electrode terminal of the display panel and a second switching means for switching current conduction between the second terminal of the current source and a second electrode terminal of the display panel, and the lamp type reset waveform is generated by the first and second electrodes of the display panel by a charge or discharge process of the display panel by current generated at the current source by a predetermined switching sequence in a reset section.
