MAGNETOSTRICTION DISPLACEMENT AMPLIFIER, AND MAGNETOSTRICTION ACTUATOR AND MAGNETOSTRICTION VIBRATING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetostriction displacement amplifier a displacement amplification factor of which can easily be enhanced wherein the tracking performance of an output displacement with respect to a displacement of a magnetostriction element can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The magnetostriction displacement amplifier 14 is configured with: super magnetostriction members 34A, 34B; a nearly rod shaped super magnetostriction rod 24 whose one end is a fixed end; a drive coil 26 provided to surround the outer circumference of the super magnetostriction rod 24 and for applying a magnetic field to the super magnetostriction rod 24 in its axial direction L1; and a displacement amplifying mechanism 30 for amplifying the displacement of the super magnetostriction rod 24 in the axial direction L1. Then the displacement amplifying mechanism 30 is configured with: a first plate-shaped elastic member elastically deformable in the thickness direction in response to a displacement of the super magnetostriction rod 24 in the axial direction L1; a second plate-shaped elastic plat member 42 located at the other end 38B of a cylindrical member 38 and elastically deformable in the thickness direction; and a fluid 44 filled in a space enclosed by the cylindrical member 38 and the first and second elastic members 40, 42.
