PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic transducer capable of propagating vibration of a piezoelectric body efficiently into a fluid to be measured. SOLUTION: The outer diameter of an acoustic adjustment layer 12 through a case 11 is reduced smaller than a top part 11a of the case 11. Hereby, the directivity or the sensitivity distribution of a sound wave outputted from the acoustic adjustment layer 12 can be controlled, and stable flow measurement including a flow velocity characteristic of the fluid to be measured in a flow measuring part becomes possible.
