The component is pressed against the wall of the case by a spring attached at one end to a fastener cone, the spring being urged against the component by a rib formed from the case. A loose component (22) such as a loudspeaker, microphone or hearing aid is mounted on a wall (21) of the case using at least two fasteners (34, 38), the case being split into top and bottom parts (26, 28) fastened together. The two fasteners are located on each side of the component and directly connected to the case. An elongated spring (24) is urged against the component by the fasteners, keeping it pressed against the case wall. The first fastener (34) is a cone and together with the wall on which the component is mounted, is located in the top part of the case, whilst the second fastener is a rib formed from the bottom part that maintains the spring in an elastically deformed state pressed against the component. Independent claims are also included for (a) an assembly method for the component, by placing it against the wall of the case, securing one end of the spring to the cone fastener and positioning the spring next to the component, and attaching the to p part of the case to the bottom part, and (b) a dismantling method, by detaching the top and bottom parts of the case, removing the spring from the fastener cone and removing the component from the wall of the case. |
