917,588. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. MOOG SERVOCONTROLS Inc. Feb. 23, 1960 [March 5, 1959], No. 6391/60. Class 135. A spring-centred valve spool 23 movable from the centred or neutral position by a pressure differential applied to chambers 31, 31a to energize a double-acting motor 22 has feed-back connections 51, 51a from each motor port 20, 21 to chambers 13, 13a situated outwardly of pistons 28, 28a whereby the pressure differential for operating the spool is opposed by a pressure difference depending upon the load encountered by the motor. The pressure differential for operating the spool is set up by movement of a baffle 38 between a pair of nozzles 39, 40 which have connections 49, 50 with the chambers 31a, 31 and connections through restrictions 45a, 45 with the pressure fluid supply. A polarized electromagnetic torque motor 34 which actuates the baffle 38 in response to an electrical signal and which may be subject to an electrical feedback signal from the motor or part actuated thereby may be isolated from the pressure fluid by the mounting of the baffle 38 in a flexure tube 37 as described in Specification 854,287, or it may be immersed as in Specification 845,109. The nozzles 39, 40 may alternatively be connected to the chambers 13a, 13 and the motor ports to the chambers 31, 31a. Specification 917,587 also is referred to.
|
