<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service negotiation method which can provide and use a necessary service without the communication of unnecessary information between two devices which exchange information via a network. <P>SOLUTION: Negotiation engines 12 and 22 are provided in a service provider server 1 which holds service provider strategy data for providing an information service and a service user terminal 2 which holds service user strategy data for making use of the information service, respectively. The negotiations between the service provider server 1 and the service user terminal 2 for the provision and use of the information service are conducted on the basis of the service provider strategy data and the service user strategy data, and the information to be exchanged between the service provider server and the service user terminal is determined in accordance with the results of the negotiations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
