PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly measure the contact pressure of the female terminal of a connector without damaging the female terminal. SOLUTION: At the tip of upper and lower arms 22 and 23 of U-shape block 20, both the insertion pieces 31, 32 corresponding to male terminals are provided and a strain gauge 40 is equipped on the upper arm 22. When both the detection pieces are inserted into the female terminal and connected, both the detection pieces are pressed by the spring action of the female terminal, and the gap is changed, the upper arm 22 is bent, and the bend is detected by the gauge 40. Because the change of the gap by both the insertion pieces 31, 32 is correlated with both the contact pressures, the contact pressure of both the terminal is measured, based on the detection value of the gauge 40. Then, the upper arm 22 is easy to bend by the through hole 22d and works like 4 link mechanism, the pair of insertion pieces 31, 32 are approximately parallelly change the gap. Thereby, the measurement is correct. Either of the insertions 31, 32 is fitted to the other insertion.
