<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of more flexibly realizing a cooperation between devices, and to provide a control method, an information processing system and a program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A retrieval information generating part 205 generates retrieval information for retrieving a function linkable with the peripheral equipment. A communication part 207 transmits the retrieval information to the peripheral equipment over a network and receives a retrieval result for the retrieval information from the peripheral equipments over the network. An UI part generation part 203 generates a user interface part for operating the function linkable to the peripheral equipment, based on the received retrieval result.
