PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method suitable for specified chromatic colors and human memory colors, etc., at the time of eliminating color fogging or the like. SOLUTION: A personal computer 2 reads the image data of color images composed of a plurality of pixels and converts them to a Lab color system. Whether or not the (a) components and b components of the respective pixels are included in the range of a skin color is judged. The deviation amount of the (a) components and b components of the pixels judged as being included in the range of the skin color and the reference color of the skin color is obtained. The reference color of the skin color is expressed by a fixed linear function in an ab plane. The average value of the obtained deviation amount of the (a) components and b components is obtained and it is defined as a correction value.
