PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processor for improving the image quality of a composite video signal and a component video signal. SOLUTION: A two-dimensional Y/C separation circuit 141 and a three-dimensional Y/C separation circuit 151 of a luminance signal processing part 11Y separate a composite video signal into luminance signals Yn2, Yn3. A selector 191 selects the luminance signals Yn2, Yn3 in response to the movement of an image. A color demodulation circuit 221 demodulates a color signal Cn2 into a color difference signal. A three-dimensional processing circuit 251 of a color difference signal processing part 11CD performs a three-dimensional processing with respect to the color difference signal CDn0 so as to define it as a color difference signal CDn3. A selector 271 selects the color difference signals CDn0, CDn in response to the movement of the image. The luminance signal Y0 and color difference signals PB, Pr of the component video signal are processed by a luminance signal processing part 11Y and a color difference signal processing part 11CD.
