Joint construction for planar bodies made from wood or wood-like materials that can also be used with ply or sandwich type structures. The joint has interleaved arms of different lengths that act to form a connection with a form fit that is already load bearing. Finally the joint is glued together to make it water-tight and indivisible. Alternately a spring of a different material can be inserted in the joint.
