<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency and the operating stability of an oxidation catalyst device in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The oxidation catalyst device 280 is characterized by including a duct 281, a fan 282, a heater 283, an oxidation catalyst carrier 284 and a heat radiation duct 286. The duct 281 is coupled with the fixing device 270 of the image forming apparatus. The fan 282, the heater 283 and the oxidation catalyst carrier 284 are provided in the duct 281. The heat radiation duct 286 is provided to surround the duct 281, and an air flow passage 280a is formed between the outside wall of the duct 281 and the inside wall of the heat radiation duct 286. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
