METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING AND CONTROLLING MOVING AREA IN MOVING PICTURE MANUAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for easily discriminating an area corresponding to an object moving in a moving picture of a moving picture manual. SOLUTION: The method for discriminating the area corresponding to the explanatory object appearing in the moving picture of the moving picture manual includes a step of receiving an indication of a point on a screen where the moving picture is reproduced during the reproduction of the moving picture; a step of acquiring position information corresponding to the indication; a step of calculating the shape and position of the area corresponding to the explanatory object at the time when the indication is received by referring to previously generated area information wherein the shape and position of the area corresponding to the explanatory object are recorded while related to time; and a step of deciding whether the area corresponding to the explanatory object is indicated from the calculated shape and position of the area corresponding to the explanatory object and the position information corresponding to the acquired indication.
