PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking door of a hinged door capable of closing the hinged door when energized in a closing direction slowly while applying a specified load thereto. SOLUTION: This braking device of the hinged door is installed in a storage apparatus such as furniture and wall cabinets having hinged doors D energized in the closing direction. The braking device comprises a rack pin 1 projecting from an opening of a storage apparatus body H so as to be pushed to the hinged door D side, a return spring 2 returning the rack pin 1 from a push-in position to a projected position, a pinion 3 meshed with the rack pin 1 and rotated by the slidable movement of the rack pin 1, and a one-way clutch 4 interposed on the pinion 3 and allowing the pinion 3 to rotate idle in the projecting direction of the rack pin 1 and to rotate the pinion 3 in a loaded state in the pressing-in direction of the rack pin 1.
