<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus wherein a coupling shape is used for drive transmission between a driving unit and a main body to not only improve work efficiency when attaching a driving unit to a main body but also prevent flaws of a gear tooth surface and positional deviation of a gear shaft, which cause banding. <P>SOLUTION: A gear provided in the drive unit, which projects from the driving unit conventionally and is engaged with a gear provided in the main body to perform drive transmission is divided, and the driving unit and the main body have divided gears respectively. A coupling shape is given to each of the gear which the driving unit for drive transmission has and the gear which the main body for receiving drive transmission has, and respective coupling shapes are engaged with each other to perform drive transmission from the driving unit to the main body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
