<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the aerodynamic characteristic in sucking air, as the consideration for the layout of a fan, an installation place of an air conditioner and the like is insufficient in the layout of a suction port of the conventional air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: This indoor unit has the suction port at least on an upper face of a casing, the suction port of the upper face is opened at a suction portion side free from a motor connection side, of the fan at a position where the fan and the motor can not be seen when observed from the upper face, to improve the aerodynamic characteristic, and further the fan and the motor can be protected from a falling object from an upper part even when the upper face is opened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
