<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent complication of a manufacturing process and an increase in manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A gap part 3a is formed in an optical filter 3, a light emitting part 2a of an optical fiber 2 is housed in the gap part 3a, and the gap part 3a is sealed with a cover glass 4. The gap part 3a is filled with air. In this case, light L<SB>1</SB>advancing in the optical fiber 2 is totally reflected at a cut cross section 2b and is emitted as shown with a mark L<SB>2</SB>even when the cut cross section 2b of the optical fiber 2 is not coated with a reflection film. Thus, the complication of the manufacturing process and the increase in the manufacturing cost are prevented so much because the coating of a reflection film on the cut cross section 2b is unnecessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
