PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer capable of surely controlling a drive motor of a discharge lid by detecting opening/closing of the lid even if a microcomputer runs away. SOLUTION: A lid opening/closing detecting means for detecting opening/closing of the discharge lid is provided, and is so composed to connect to the microcomputer of a control part via a control switch. The control part is so composed to stop the current to the drive motor when the detecting means detects full open or full close state of the lid. The drive motor, thereby, can be surely stopped via the control switch, even if the microcomputer of the control part runs away. Further, provision of another switch is not necessary for stopping the drive motor besides the lid opening/closing detecting means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
