PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a stretch spun yarn having decreased variation of physical properties such as breaking strength, elongation, initial modulus, etc., in fiber axis direction. SOLUTION: The stretch spun yarn is manufactured by separately carrying out the stretch spinning of a plurality of filament yarns having a breaking strength of≥13 cN/dtex and an initial modulus of≥300 cN/dtex to form staple fiber yarns, doubling the staple fiber yarns, subjecting the product to cohesion processing and taking up the produced stretch spun yarn.
