The air conditioner has a water feeder (7) for the transport of seawater (5) to the water output system. At a body of the device (1) a fresh water barrier (16) is created with fresh water passed over. Salt crystals provide a barrier outside a range defined by the water barrier (16). The fresh water is passed from a collection gutter having an upper range of the device extending downwards.
