<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frequency deviation in the temperature characteristics of a quartz vibrator by eliminating/suppressing the irregularity of a cutting angle in manufacturing a quartz plate of a double rotation cut having inclined cut surfaces around two axes of a crystallographic axis. <P>SOLUTION: An artificial quarts ore 10 is cut along the X'-surface crossing a X' axis, which is calculated by rotating an X-axis centering around a Z-axis by an angleϕ, at a right angle to cut a quartz Lambert's ore 11 while an auxiliary block 12 having the X-surface, Z-surface and r-surface of the same artificial quartz ore is cut from the artificial quartz ore and the X' surface of the quartz Lambert's ore and the X-surface of the auxiliary ore are aligned on the same plane to laminate and bond the -Z surface of the quartz Lambert's ore and the +Z surface of the auxiliary block. The -Z surface of the quartz Lambert's ore is angularly measured by a conventional X-ray diffraction device and the Z-axis is rotated by an angle (38°13'-θ) centering around the X-axis on the basis of the r-surface to cut the quartz Lambert's ore in parallel to the obtained surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
