PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of displaying by switching between 2D/3D images by means of a simpler configuration. SOLUTION: The display device 100 comprises a light source unit 102, a liquid crystal device 150, and optical adjustment devices 104 and 106 which are located between the light source unit 102 and the liquid crystal device 150 and provided with a pair of polarizing plates. In addition, a polarizing pattern is formed on each of the pair of polarizing plates 104 and 106. One of the pair of polarizing plates 104 and 106 is parallel movable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
