PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterside measuring container capable of protecting sufficiently a measuring apparatus or the like in a waterside environment from an adverse effect caused by a direct sunlight or spattering of water. SOLUTION: This container is equipped with a watertight body 1 comprising a metal material having a large thermal conductivity, having an input/output opening 1f on an upper part, and having an apparatus storing space S capable of storing a measuring device, a computer and a battery, a watertight lid 2 for constituting a watertight container 50 by being mounted thereon with a sealing material 5, a bolt 3 or the like, a member 60 for installing the watertight container 50 on a container installation plane 200, heat insulating plates 7, 9, 19 installed around the watertight container 50 at prescribed intervals by clearance keeping members 6, 8, 18, and light shields 10, 20 installed around the heat insulating plates at prescribed intervals by the clearance keeping members 6, 8, 18.
