<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell with performance degradation eliminated at the time of restarting power generation. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system containing a fuel cell 20 generating electricity by the electrochemical reaction of fuel gas and oxidizing gas is provided with a gas supply means supplying an anode 21 and a cathode 23 of the fuel cell 20 with the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas, respectively, in accordance with their respective loads, a gas permeating volume estimating means estimating the permeation volume of at least either the fuel gas or the oxidizing gas between the anode and the cathode after the stop of the fuel cell, and a correcting means correcting a supply volume of at least either the fuel gas or the oxidizing gas of a volume in accordance with a load supplied by the gas supply means according to the estimated gas permeation volume at the time of the start of the next power generation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
