PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable data such as index information which a user can define, and is annexed to user data such as content data recorded on an information recording medium while the information recording medium can be reproduced even with a conventional specification as it is. SOLUTION: In this information recorder, a controller 19 records content data in a content area being a user recordable area of the recording area of an optical disk 7 and generates index information for referring to the inside of the content data and records the index information in a read-out area arranged outside the user recordable area of the optical disk 7.
