PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding device for a gabion construction for cleaning the finish by preventing the deformation in installation work of a gabion and a gabion construction method. SOLUTION: The molding device 6 uses four bar-shaped connecting members 9 to have a structure detachably connecting up and down of a connecting flange 8 formed upward from both right and left sides of the upper parts of two flat molding plates 7 parallelly opposed to each other in the longitudinal direction, it can be lifted up by means of a lift means 10, lower square parts 11 of both right and left of each molding plate 7 are circularly formed, and a position of the lower connection member 9 connected to the connecting flange 8 is located upward of the height of a gabion body 1. The gabion construction method has a process installing the gabion body 1 and a process installing the molding device 6 therein, heavy loads 3 are closely put in from an upward opening section 2 and mounting a gabion lid body 12 on the gabion body 1 by removing the molding plates 7.
