For an automatic and controlled deployment of flexible covers at boats and yachts, e.g. Bimini tops or spray hoods or sun shelters and the like, has a remote-controlled drive in a housing (1) which is attached to the cover by a holder (12) and at least one strut in a tubular holder (13). The drive motor powers a wobble gear (2) with a swing gear section attached to the holder and the other gear section is fixed. At least one safety unit (9) prevents rotation. The drive has a toothed and hollow transmission shaft (6), meshing with the drive motor (3).
