INSULATING SLEEVE, ROLLER, AND INDUCTION HEATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulating sleeve of a roller for hot-rolling lines which is not broken even when an induced current value and the heating temperature of a rolling material are raised and with which a spark is conventionally generated between a roller and a material to be rolled is prevented over the entire length and the entire width of the rolling material, the roller and an induction heating apparatus for which the same is used.

SOLUTION: This sleeve is the insulating sleeve which is fit to a roller for conveying the rolling material in a hot rolling line on which the induction heating coils are arranged. The insulating sleeve consists of ceramic excellent in resistance to oxidation and resistance to thermal shock and the outside diameter of the sleeve is larger than the diameter in the middle part of the body length of a metallic core bar of the roller. The same sleeve is used for the roller and the induction heating apparatus.
