PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device in which the orbital deviation of an electron beam and the outbreak of electric discharge are suppressed, and reliability and display quality are improved. SOLUTION: A spacer structure 22 is installed between a first substrate on which a fluorescent face is formed and a second substrate on which a plurality of electron emitting sources are installed. The spacer structure is opposed to the first and the second substrates, while being provided with a plate-formed support substrate 24 having a plurality of penetrating holes for electron beams opposed to an electron emitting source, and a plurality of spacers 30a, 30b erected on at least one surface of the support substrate. On the surface of the spacer, a plurality of grooves 60 are formed, these grooves are spread from ends of respective spacers on the side of the support substrate to extended ends, and are opposed to penetrating holes for the electron beams.
